Why we install LG

The most advanced air conditioning you can put on a wall

We could fit any brand. We choose LG DualCool AI because the engineering is simply ahead — and we’d rather install the thing we’d put in our own homes.

From19dB

Quieter than a whisper

In sleep mode it’s quieter than a library — you’ll hear your own breathing before you hear the unit.

AI

Airflow that reads the room

DualCool AI senses room conditions and adjusts direction, fan speed and output automatically — no cold draughts aimed at the sofa.

70%

Dual Inverter efficiency

LG’s Dual Inverter compressor saves up to 70% energy versus conventional units, and is backed by a 10-year compressor warranty.²

2-in-1

Heats in winter, too

It’s a heat pump. Up to 4kW of heat out for every 1kW of electricity in — often cheaper than your gas boiler for single rooms.

UVnano™

Cleaner air, always

Self-cleaning coils and UVnano fan sterilisation reduce bacteria, allergens and that “old AC” smell. Good news for hay fever season.

ThinQ™ smart control

Pre-cool the bedroom from the train home. Works with Alexa and Google Home, with energy monitoring built in.

Built around your home

One room or the whole house

Every install is sized properly — an underpowered unit runs flat out and still loses; an oversized one short-cycles. We do the maths so you don’t have to.

Bedroom

16–18°C is the science-backed sweet spot for deep sleep. Sleep mode holds it silently all night.

Cool the whole house. Separate systems keep the price down; a multi-split runs every room from one discreet outdoor unit — tidier, and often the only option on a semi or terrace.

Running costs

Cheaper to run than you think

LG’s Dual Inverter compressor doesn’t slam on and off like old-school AC — it modulates, sipping power once the room is at temperature. Most customers cool a bedroom all night for less than the price of a coffee a week.

FAQs

Good questions

About the configurator & pricing

How does the online configurator work?
Our configurator walks you through a series of questions about your room, property type and requirements. It uses your answers to spec the right internal and external units for your home and generates an all-inclusive installation price. The whole process takes a few minutes.
Is the price really all-inclusive?
Yes. The price generated by the configurator covers everything — units, labour, pipework, fixings and commissioning. There are no hidden extras. If your installation has any non-standard requirements that affect the price, we’ll tell you well before any work commences.
What if my property has unusual requirements?
The configurator is designed to handle a wide range of property types and configurations. If something falls outside standard scope, we’ll flag it with you after reviewing your photos, before the installation takes place.
What brands of unit do you install?
We install high-end LG units, known worldwide for reliability, efficiency and the latest technology. You can find out more on our Products pages, and the specific model is confirmed as part of your configuration.

About the process

What happens after I book?
We’ll review your photos within 1 business day of receiving your booking. If everything looks straightforward, we’ll just arrive on the day of installation as planned. If we spot anything that needs discussing, we’ll contact you first.
Can I choose my installation date?
Yes. You choose the installation date, and we send you a calendar invitation as part of the booking process.
How long does installation take?
Most standard installations take at least a day per unit.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
Yes — an adult (18+) must be present throughout the installation.

About coverage

Do you cover my area?
Cooler.AC installs air conditioning across the UK. If you’re unsure, get in touch before booking.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. There are no call-out fees — our prices are all-inclusive.

About our installation processes

Will I see lots of plastic trunking?
Air conditioning systems require refrigerant pipework between the indoor and outdoor units, together with a condensate drain. The best solution is often to mount the indoor unit on an external wall, allowing the pipework to pass straight outside so nothing is visible indoors and trunking is limited to the exterior. We carefully plan every installation with you to minimise visual impact, often routing pipework through lofts, service voids or onto flat roofs where practical. If concealed pipework is important to you, let us know before booking so we can discuss the available options and any additional costs.
Do I need a drain nearby?
Air conditioning systems produce condensate that needs to drain away safely. Indoor units produce water when cooling, while outdoor units produce water when heating during colder weather. Although harmless, if not managed correctly this water can cause leaks or create icy slip hazards. Where gravity drainage isn’t possible, condensate can be pumped to a suitable drain using a condensate pump. These pumps are generally very quiet but may be audible in particularly quiet environments, such as bedrooms at night. Every property is different, so we’ll discuss the best drainage solution for your installation before any work begins.
What qualifications and certifications do you hold?
Our business is Refcom certified and our engineers are qualified up to the Level 3 Award in F-Gas Category I — the highest qualification available for working with fluorinated refrigerants. This allows us to install, service, maintain, recover and leak-test systems of any size. Refrigerants require specialist handling because they can displace oxygen, contribute to climate change if released and many modern refrigerants are mildly flammable. Our training ensures every installation is carried out safely, legally and to the highest professional standard.
How do you avoid making lots of dust?
Your home deserves to be left as clean as we found it. Core drilling through brick and concrete creates hazardous silica dust, so we use Bosch professional dust shrouds connected to Metabo H-Class extraction vacuums. Unlike ordinary workshop vacuums, H-Class extractors are specifically designed to capture hazardous fine dust before it becomes airborne. Combined with dust sheets and careful working practices, this helps keep your home cleaner and safer.
What if something goes wrong after installation?
Contact us directly. We take pride in our workmanship and stand behind every installation. If an issue arises that relates to our installation, we’ll return promptly to put it right. In the unlikely event we are unable to fix the issue, LG’s manufacturer warranty allows its network of field engineers to replace parts as far as 10 years into the future for the compressor, and 5 years for other components, with the customer paying a labour charge after three years.
How do you make sure the system won’t leak?
Quality starts with good workmanship. Refrigerant leaks most commonly occur at mechanical flare joints, so wherever practical and permitted by the manufacturer, we replace the indoor flare connection with a brazed joint. This creates a continuous copper pipe from the indoor unit to the outside of your property, removing mechanical joints from inside your home. The result is improved long-term reliability and a greatly reduced risk of refrigerant escaping indoors.
What about efficiency?
Efficiency begins with good design. We position each system to minimise pipe runs while delivering the best performance for your home. Instead of using thin insulation supplied with many pre-made pipe kits, we build our own pipework using premium copper and thicker, high-density insulation. Although it takes longer, this reduces unwanted heat transfer, improves efficiency and helps prevent condensation forming on the pipework.
How do you test your installations?
A quality installation is about more than fitting the equipment. Every Cooler.AC system is thoroughly commissioned using high-pressure nitrogen testing, deep vacuum evacuation to remove air and moisture, refrigerant charging to the manufacturer’s specification, and digital performance checks covering pressures, temperatures and system operation. Once commissioned, you’ll receive a full customer handover together with the relevant documentation and F-Gas certification. By ensuring the system is leak-free and completely free of air and moisture before refrigerant is released, we maximise efficiency, improve long-term reliability, protect the compressor and help preserve the manufacturer’s warranty.
Why does it take you at least a day to install one AC unit?
We don’t measure success by the number of systems we can install in a day. We measure it by the quality of the finished installation. That means careful pipe routing, neat trunking, correctly torqued fittings, thorough testing and leaving your home clean and tidy. We install every system as though it were going into our own home.
